Psychology & Counselling Fees
Providing services that are accessible and affordable to our community is of high important to Embrace Wellness Hub. Embrace offers Medicare and Private Health Fund rebates for eligible clients. Please read the information below to see if you qualify.
1. Individual Therapy
Referrals
A referral is not required to access individual therapy with our psychologists or counsellor.
Mental Health Treatment Plans: A referral from a medical practitioner known as a Mental Health Care Plan can enable a client to receive a rebate from Medicare for sessions accessed with a psychologist. Initially, a client can be referred for a course of treatment of up to six individual and six group allied mental health services. It is at the clinical discretion of your referring practitioner as to the number of allied mental health services you will be referred for (to a maximum of six in any one referral), with up to 20 individual and 10 group sessions able to be accessed per calendar year on this plan. After this point, the client will become a ‘full-fee paying’ client.
WorkCover: Initial and ongoing consultations in accordance with WorkCover recommended fees

Fees and Rebates
Medicare Rebates: Medicare rebates for our psychology services are available to patients who have been referred by a medical practitioner managing the patient under a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan; a referred psychiatrist assessment and management plan; or on referral by a psychiatrist or paediatrician.

Private Health Rebates: Please consult your private health policy for inclusions and eligible rebates for psychology and counselling. If you are claiming a private health fund rebate, a receipt of your payment for the session can be provided. In some cases, private health fund claims can be processed on the spot.

2. Relationship / Couples Therapy
Referrals
A referral is not required to access relationship counselling services with our counsellor.
Fees and Rebates
Medicare Rebates: Medicare rebates for relationship or couples counselling are not available at present.
Private Health: Please consult your private health policy for inclusions and eligible rebates for relationship counselling. If you are claiming a private health fund rebate, a receipt of your payment for the session can be provided. In some cases, private health fund claims can be processed on the spot.

3. Assessments
Cognitive Assessments: $1,100 + (each assessment involves an initial 60 minute interview, approximate 90-120 minutes of assessment and a 30 minute feedback session (in person or via phone) with a report.)

Full Educational Assessment: $1,900 + (each assessment involves an initial 60 minute interview, subsequent approximate 3-4 hours of assessment and a 60 minute feedback session with a report)

4. Group Therapy Sessions (non-family)
Group Therapy Sessions: $45 (60 minutes+)

The difference between our fees and the Medicare rebate of $22.35 is the responsibility of the client. In our case, clients are responsible for a gap-fee of $22.65 if they are not eligible for bulk-billing.

If you are claiming a private health fund rebate, receipts can be provided. Please consult your private health policy for inclusions and eligible rebates.
5. Training
Half-day and full-day training: Please contact us with your requirements and we will negotiate a package that suits your needs.
Cancellation Fees
When appointments are booked, the Psychologist reserves the whole hour, especially for the client, therefore the following cancellation policy is in place.
We require 24-48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring any extra fees. This policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment. A fee is charged for non-attendance or less than 24-48 hours' notice.
