Providing services that are accessible and affordable to our community is of high important to Embrace Wellness Hub. In some case, Embrace offers bulk billing as well as Medicare and Private Health Fund rebates for eligible clients. Please read the information below to see if you qualify.
Our dietetic service caters to clients who fall into the following three payment categories:
(no out-of-pocket cost - must have an eligible referral*)
- Available in limited circumstances. Please discuss with our dietitian.
(partial cost - must have an eligible referral* to receive Medicare rebate**)
Low income earners (as determined by Centrelink)
Newstart allowance recipients
(full cost - varies based on service)
Clients not referred on an eligible plan
* Rebates for individual consultations with a dietitian are available to clients who have a chronic health condition and complex care needs being managed by a medical practitioner under a care plan or management plan.
A person can be referred for a maximum of five (5) sessions per calendar year. After this point, the client will become a ‘full-fee paying’ client. Fee negotiations can be made based on the client’s hardship.
** The current Medicare rebate for dietetics services is $54.60 per session.
Initial Consultation: $110 (45-60 minutes)
Subsequent Consultation: $75 (45-60 minutes)
The difference between our fees and the Medicare rebate of $54.60 is the responsibility of the client. In our case, clients are responsible for a gap-fee of $20.40 for subsequent consultations.
If you are claiming a private health fund rebate, a receipt of your payment for the session can be provided. Please consult your private health policy for inclusions and eligible rebates.

Group Education Sessions
If you are interested in group education sessions for your team, club or workplace, our dietitian can work with you to come up with a suitable package to meet your needs. Please contact Mary on 0413 394 223.
When appointments are booked, the dietitian reserves the whole hour, especially for the client, therefore the following cancellation policy is in place.
We require 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring any extra fees. This policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment. A fee is charged for non-attendance or less than 24 hours notice.
